Dermatology Center

The University of Illinois Medical Center’s Dermatology Center has been serving patients with all types of skin diseases for more than 100 years. Our staff is recognized throughout the medical community as experts in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Because of our specialized services, other physicians often refer rare skin diseases to the Medical Center.

Quality Patient Care

Our experienced specialists provide high-quality medical care to every patient we treat. We offer comprehensive services, including general adult and pediatric dermatology; evaluation and treatment of disease of the hair, scalp and nails; cosmetic dermatologic skin care; corrective surgery and chemical peels; dermatologic surgery – MOHS surgery for skin cancer, liposuction and laser; and preventive skin cancer care.

We also offer specialized care for alopecia and disease of the hair and scalp; atopic dermatitis (eczema); connective tissue skin disease; contact dermatitis; female skin diseases, including vulvar disease; autoimmune skin disease; infectious diseases; Keloids; occupational skin diseases; panniculitis – inflammatory disease of fat; pemphigus and other blistering skin diseases including hose affecting moral mucous membranes; disorders of skin pigmentation; pregnancy-related skin eruption; psoriasis; skin cancers, tumors and lymphomas; vascular lesions, including birth marks and spider veins.

A special dermatologic pharmacy is conveniently located within the Dermatology Center.
