A Night on the Nile Raises over $100,000

A Night on the Nile Raises over $100,000 for University of Illinois Medical Center

The UIC College of Medicine and the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago hosted a "Night on the Nile" at the Field Museum on June 24 to benefit its "I Care Fund." The evening drew more than 325 faculty, staff, alumni, friends and grateful patients who enjoyed an evening of great food and good music, as well as an exclusive viewing of the acclaimed exhibit "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs."

The emcee for the evening was Dr. Sandra Goldberg, NBC 5’s nutrition and health contributor. Proceeds from the gala, which exceeded $100,000, will benefit the new "I Care Fund," which provides special patient-care initiatives that would not be possible without generous philanthropic support. This fund also directly reflects the mission of the university to deliver quality care to patients.
