Neurology and Rehabilitation

Welcome to the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation at the University of Illinois Medical Center. The dedicated professionals serving patient needs within our department have three important missions: Patient Care, Research, and Education.

We provide highly-skilled, cost-effective diagnosis and care of patients with neurological illnesses, and we provide high-quality medical rehabilitation for patients recovering from neurological, medical, and orthopedic illnesses. We are known for our outstanding training of our fellows, residents, and medical students and our emphasis of course is on teaching others about the importance of outstanding care of the neurological patients and the methodology of rehabilitation. To maintain the highest standards and assure the best possible outcomes for our patients, we engage in on-going research that helps us understand the nature of neurological illness, diagnosis of the most complex illnesses and management of disease or disorder that has the patient’s quality of life at the forefront of each option available.

We work as team with our patients and their families and value collaboration as we continually strive for excellence.
