I Care Fund

I Care Fund

Since our founding in 1882, the University of Illinois Medical Center has provided superior medical treatment for the people of Illinois. This strong history still resonates today in our physicians and medical staff's daily interactions with their patients. The faculty and staff of the University of Illinois Medical Center focus on treating the whole individual. This is why we are launching the “I Care Fund.” The I Care Fund is the University of Illinois Medical Center’s commitment to providing much needed resources to patients and their families.

Our Medical Center is unique in that it has one of the largest and most diverse patient bases in Chicago. Our patient base consists of many of the working uninsured as well as underinsured individuals in the Chicago land area. We see first hand the economic hardship experienced by our patients and their families. These hardships tend to intensify when a family member is diagnosed with a serious illness. Many serious illnesses require months, and in some cases, years of treatment, and these conditions oftentimes leave our patients weak and unable to work. Tough decisions are forced upon families in these instances. The I Care Fund is how the Medical Center hopes to achieve our commitment to treating the whole individual.

By making a charitable donation to the University of Illinois Medical Center, you help us to continue groundbreaking medical research, institute innovative clinical care programs, and attract internationally renowned physicians.
