Nursing Core Orientation

The week of nursing core orientation is spent learning about the University of Illinois Medical Center.  Orientees become acquainted with the human resources staff, learn computer-based training systems, and receive a general overview of nursing services.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Calendar

ACLS classes are available only to University of Illinois Medical Center non-physician staff.  This is a required two day course for certification.  Learners must attend both days and hold a current BLS for healthcare providers card.  Re-certification requirements include attendance to the second day and a current ACLS card.  The cost of the ACLS class is $10.00.  Handbooks are also available for purchase.

Basic Life Support Calendar

CPR classes are held twice per month.  Classes are free and are available only to University of Illinois Medical Center non-physician staff.  Learners must hold a current BLS for healthcare providers card and submit the pre-test located on the Net Learning web page before the start of the class.
