Welcome to the Evelyn Goldberg Respite Center which serves as both a haven and informational resource hub for individuals battling cancer. The philosophy of the Center is to focus on putting people first. We believe every person should experience dignified respectful care and attention, which we believe will aid in their recovery. The Center's goal is to empower individuals to actively participate in their health care decisions by:
- Improving understanding of treatment options
- Encouraging dialogue between patient and provider
- Providing assistance in navigating the healthcare system
Through the Center individuals will have access to the following:
- Support Groups for patient, caregiver and family.
- Educational Seminars encompassing a variety of topics by experts in their respective fields.
- Cancer Assistance Fund is a financial grant program that provides support for patients experiencing difficulty with daily life activities.

Buy A Mom A Mammogram ™
Responding to the basic need of medically underserved women to obtain screening, the Foundation is currently partnering with The University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago in a unique project to provide access to mammography.
Funded by A Silver Lining Foundation’s Buy A Mom A Mammogram ™ Program, qualifying women will receive cost free mammograms in a timely, dignified and respectful fashion.
