A Comprehensive Approach

Our multidisciplinary weight loss team provides care for both adults and adolescents. The team includes board-certified internists, registered dietitians, nurse practitioners, highly-experienced Bariatric and pediatric surgeons, and plastic surgeons specializing in body contouring procedures. Psychological and psychiatric support services are also available. Each team member specializes in weight management.

Initial consultation includes an extensive medical evaluation by our and treatment is personalized for each individual's needs and desires. By the completion of this evaluation, the patient will:

• Understand the necessary dietetics and behavioral changes
• Learn about the various surgical treatments available as well as weight loss options offered by the team
• Commit to participate in a postoperative physical activity program
• Agree to maintain follow-up appointments over at least a one-year period
• Learn about post Bariatric body contouring procedures that may be needed
• Be given the opportunity to participate in a support group and/or serve as a mentor for other patients considering surgery

After surgery, members of the team provide the necessary guidance and support to enhance the success of the surgery.
