How to Apply

The Administrative Fellow will report to Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare System of the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. This position is a one-year staff appointment starting July 1, 2009.

Structure

The Fellowship is an innovative program designed to provide the fellow with a flexible, self-directed approach to facilitate their development as a health care leader. The fellow will prepare an individualized professional development plan under the mentorship of the Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare System. Project assignments will be adapted to meet the fellow's interests and professional development needs. The fellow participates as a member of the Executive Management team and attends planning, budgeting, and medical staff meetings. In addition, the fellow will have the opportunity to concentrate in one or more areas of medical center management and acquire knowledge in preparation for more responsible operational assignments.

Position Requirements

A Master's Degree from an accredited university in Health and/or Hospital Administration, or Business Administration. Experience in a hospital and/or clinic environment is necessary with preference in an academic medical center.
