They Want to Read Our Minds

The Center for Magnetic Resonance Research was featured in a front page story in the Dec. 30 Sunday Chicago Tribune on the new 9.4 Tesla MRI, the world's largest and most powerful MRI with the capacity to examine the human brain.

The story included an interview with UIC director of MRI Research, Dr. Keith Thulborn, who designed the 9.4 Tesla machine. The 9.4 is currently undergoing FDA safety trials. It will offer new ways to visualize and diagnose stroke and brain tumors, improving treatment options and saving lives.
